What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Engineer position at Actalent?
The Engineer will be working on both Residential and Commercial projects that involve mixed use properties, sub-divisions, site plans for multi-family and commercial properties.
Job Description:
- Prepare Engineering construction documents for residential and commercial, and industrial developments to include: site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, earthwork, soil erosion and sediment control, and civil/site permitting, alignments, designing surfaces, and pipe networks.
- Perform design tasks, such as layouts, grading, and drainage, associated with civil engineering projects.
- Prepare complex storm water calculations and reports.
- Prepare flood studies and flood hazard area permitting.
- Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various plans, reports and design documents
- Ensure that assigned projects are completed within the guidelines established by local, state, and federal laws, regulations, standards, and/or policies
- Maintain accurate records, notes and other required documentation for assigned projects
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Must have professional experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- At least 3 years of professional experience in land development
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.
