Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Design and Analysis: Develop and evaluate engineering designs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Collaboration: Work closely with consulting engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the integrity and performance of engineering systems and components.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed engineering reports, plans, and documentation for projects and compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant codes and standards; ensure that projects adhere to all applicable regulations.
- Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering department team members.

Essential Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution; advanced degree in engineering or related field preferred.
- Must possess a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience in project management preferred (PMP certification a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in engineering software, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities. Experience with software development and platform implementation.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and emerging technologies.
- The ideal candidate must be able to obtain a working knowledge of all job-specific operating procedures, be extremely quality-conscious and detail-oriented, accept responsibility and account for their own actions, work independently with minimal supervision, be able to build solid relationships with internal and external customers, be dependable and trustworthy, be self-motivated, and have basic computer skills.
Work Environment:
- The majority of the time is spent in an office environment outside of the fabrication shop.
- Frequently required to sit, squat, talk, and hear.
- Constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
