Job Title: Requirements Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Requirements Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of IBM DOORS for MAVIS requirements management. You will manage user roles, permissions, and access controls, as well as develop and enforce best practices for database structuring, attributes, and relationships. Additionally, you will develop, manage, and maintain system and subsystem requirements, ensuring traceability between requirements, verification methods, and test plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of IBM DOORS for MAVIS requirements management.
• Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls.
• Develop and enforce best practices for database structuring, attributes, and relationships.
• Develop, manage, and maintain system and subsystem requirements.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, verification methods, and test plans.
• Support requirements decomposition, allocation, and validation across MAVIS subsystems.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and metrics for design reviews and audits.
• Integrate IBM DOORS with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Rhapsody, or similar.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in IBM DOORS administration.
• Strong experience in requirements engineering for complex aerospace or defense systems.
• Hands-on experience with MBSE methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, Rhapsody).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with systems engineering and requirements analysis.
• Knowledge of aerospace engineering.
• Proficiency in SysML.

Work Environment

This position is located in Huntsville, AL, working on the MAVIS support team. The work schedule follows a 9x80 format: 9 hours for the first four days of the week and 8 hours on the fifth day in the first week, followed by 9 hours for the first four days of the week and having Friday off in the second week. Initially, the first two weeks will be in the office full-time

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr.
