Position Overview:
KODA Technologies is seeking a DOORS Requirements Engineer to support the Mars Ascent Vehicle Integrated System (MAVIS) Program in Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidate will be responsible for administering IBM DOORS Next Generation (NG), supporting requirements engineering, and integrating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to ensure robust digital continuity. This role is critical to maintaining traceability, verification, and compliance throughout the MAVIS program lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform DOORS NG Administration
- Configure, maintain and optimize IBM DOORS NG for MAVIS requirements management.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Develop and enforce best practices for database structuring, attributes, and relationships.
- Develop, manage, and maintain system and subsystem requirements within DOORS NG.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, verification methods, and test plans.
- Support requirements decomposition, allocation, and validation across MAVIS subsystems.
- Generate reports, dashboards, and metrics for design reviews and audits.
- Integrate DOORS NG with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Rhapsody, or similar.
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in IBM DOORS or DOORS NG administration.
- Strong background in requirements engineering for complex aerospace or defense systems.
- Hands-on experience with MBSE methodologies and SysML (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody).
Desired Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Systems engineering experience in space systems, launch vehicles, or deep-space missions.
- Experience following a disciplined Model Development Plan or similar structured MBSE frameworks.
- Experience working on Mars architecture programs, launch vehicles, or planetary exploration systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based DOORS NG deployments and possibly Jama deployments
Schedule: 9/80 Schedule with primary work done in the office.
