Job Title: Drafter
Job Description
The Solidworks Drafter will collaborate with designers and engineers to refine designs, manage red lines, and develop new prototypes. This role also involves writing various types of documentation. Candidates should have a basic understanding of MS Word and experience using an ERP system/Excel for pulling BOMs and creating assembly instructions. Experience in manufacturing, particularly in aircraft manufacturing, is highly beneficial for translating technical concepts into clear instructions using text and images.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to refine designs and manage red lines.
- Develop new prototypes.
- Create and maintain documentation supporting production, aircraft assembly, and kit-built instructions.
- Utilize MS Word and ERP systems/Excel for pulling BOMs and creating assembly instructions.
- Write work instructions, manuals, and assembly/builder notes.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Solidworks.
- Experience in drafting, including GD&T and redlining.
- Experience in manufacturing documentation (writing and reviewing).
- Technical writing experience (work instructions, manuals, assembly/builder notes).
- Experience or passion for aviation/aircraft, including a pilot license or a desire to obtain one.
- Experience with 'Kit Building'.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of CAD and mechanical engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Ability to design prototypes.
- Understanding of compliance regulations.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
