EHS Manager
Description:
- Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments, and safety assessments to support EH&S management.
- Perform facility EH&S inspections and maintain relevant logs and documentation.
- Oversee Hazardous Waste Storage, ensuring regulatory compliance in labeling, containment, disposal, and documentation.
- Assist in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare EH&S reports, including Tier II Storm water DMRs and other necessary reports.
- Provide EH&S advice and recommendations to facility management.
- Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
- Develop Task Hazard Analysis (THA) with facility staff.
- Assist in developing and presenting EH&S training.
- Observe EH&S regulations, wear required safety equipment, encourage safe practices, and address hazards immediately.
- Maintain positive relations with managers, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist in administering compliance programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, EAP, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Respiratory Protection, BBP, etc.
- Comply with all company and EH&S procedures and policies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must-Haves:
• High school diploma or GED
• 5 years of experience in an Environmental Health and Safety position
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in Environmental Sciences
• General knowledge of compliance of Regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Environmental industry experience including experience with hazardous waste
• 24 or 40 HAZWOPER Certification
• Technical writing experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06
