EHS Manager

Description:

• Conduct compliance reviews, risk assessments, and safety assessments to support EH&S management.
• Perform facility EH&S inspections and maintain relevant logs and documentation.
• Oversee Hazardous Waste Storage, ensuring regulatory compliance in labeling, containment, disposal, and documentation.
• Assist in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Prepare EH&S reports, including Tier II Storm water DMRs and other necessary reports.
• Provide EH&S advice and recommendations to facility management.
• Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
• Develop Task Hazard Analysis (THA) with facility staff.
• Assist in developing and presenting EH&S training.
• Observe EH&S regulations, wear required safety equipment, encourage safe practices, and address hazards immediately.
• Maintain positive relations with managers, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.
• Assist in administering compliance programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, EAP, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Respiratory Protection, BBP, etc.
• Comply with all company and EH&S procedures and policies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• High school diploma or GED

• 5 years of experience in an Environmental Health and Safety position

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in Environmental Sciences

• General knowledge of compliance of Regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA, EPA, etc.)

• Environmental industry experience including experience with hazardous waste

• 24 or 40 HAZWOPER Certification

• Technical writing experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06
