EHS Manager
Pay: $60,000 annually
Shift: 1st (06:00 am – 02:30 pm)
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities of the EHS Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Completes all federal and state compliance reporting; S.A.R.A. Tier II, TRI, chemical inventory reporting, others as required.
- Oversee all hazard communications, chemical awareness, industrial hygiene, lock out/tag out, air permits, basic monthly emission calculations, other bi-annual reporting requirements, and general OSHA reporting.
- Maintains certification(s) for industrial stormwater operations.
- Upkeep of MI, MN, MO air regulations, permitting and compliance.
- Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and deficiencies minimized and corrected.
- Research and write permit applications as required.
- Provide daily guidance and direction in EHS programs at the employee / supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.
- Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
- Review accidents and incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the corrective actions.
- Conduct immediate and thorough investigations into all near misses, incidents, and accidents.
- Assist with maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans and Procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and update safe work practices for all sites.
- Will have to travel between the Michigan locations (Holt, Owosso, and Sterling Heights facilities) and to Wyoming, Minnesota, and Joplin Missouri.
- Onsite location is based in Troy, MI.
Quality Control:
- Directing objectives to maximize profitability.
- Monitor own performance - self-audit for accuracy and produce high level output.
Safety:
- Personally accountable for preventing injury and illness to self and for protecting Company assets.
- Acceptance of this full safety responsibility, personal alertness and following plant safety rules is mandatory.
- Every injury sustained or even suspected while on the job must be reported immediately to your direct supervisor.
- Know the location, use and purpose of all safety equipment in your work area.
- All emergency equipment, fire doors and emergency exit routes are to be kept unobstructed and in good condition.
- Adhere to personal protection guidelines set forth by the company.
- Maintain a sense of orderliness, keeping materials, supplies, and equipment well organized and in good condition.
- Ensure the work area is clean and free from safety hazards.
- Assist with janitorial duties daily – sweep, clean, and trash removal.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

- Other duties as assigned by management.
