EHS Manager

Job Description

The EHS Manager is responsible for the daily administration and implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) program to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, promoting a safe and healthful working environment. The role may involve performing assignments of moderate complexity under the direction of a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Managing recordkeeping systems
• Conducting training in all OSH topics
• Managing Hazardous Waste in accordance with RCRA regulations
• Conducting walk-through inspections and internal/external audits
• Recognizing hazards
• Participating in accident investigations and/or emergency response
• Addressing employee OSH concerns
• Implementing OSH measures, programs, and procedures
• Maintaining metrics and KPIs
• Preparing technical reports
• Performing sampling and monitoring

Essential Skills

• Experience in a manufacturing (ideally FDA regulated)
• Leadership capabilities
• Internal/external audit experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of life safety and applicable regulatory compliance
• Machine guarding and lockout/tagout electrical safety
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Training experience
• Strong computer skills
• Strong leadership ability/skills
• 4-6 years of relevant work experience in OSH

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
