Job Title: Electrical Controls Technician

Job Description

The Electrical Controls Technician will support the electrical department with troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment with electrical or mechanical prints. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and be self-motivated and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment using electrical or mechanical prints.
• Work with electrical wiring and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Handle electrical schematics and perform PLC troubleshooting.
• Utilize AC/DC electrical knowledge to work with voltages ranging from 480VAC to 24VDC.
• Work with electrical motors, primarily 208/230, 240, and 480 VAC.
• Provide field service and customer support.
• Collaborate with the team on panel and custom applications and support installations.

Essential Skills

• 4 years of experience in the controls industry.
• Proven field service experience.
• AC/DC electrical knowledge with voltages up to 480VAC.
• Experience with electrical motors (208/230, 240, and 480 VAC).
• PLC knowledge, specifically Schneider Electric and Automation Direct.
• Technical degree (2 years) in a related field.

• Previous experience in customer service.
• Basic computer skills; IT knowledge is a plus.

Work Environment

The role is primarily office-based when not traveling, with a minimum travel requirement of 25% and maximum of 50%. The travel will be regional (within the midwest) and paid for. The technician will work with the team on panel and custom applications and support installations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00
