Job Description
The Electromechanical Technician, Advanced Technologies & Services (EMT AT&S) is responsible for mechanical/electrical assembly and development, and prototype fabrication of innovative, robust, and reliable automated systems. The EMT AT&S will work within the Systems Engineering team to develop new systems, perform assemblies, reduce product costs, and improve the quality of prototype fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly and development.
- Fabricate prototypes of innovative automated systems.
- Work within the Systems Engineering team to develop new systems.
- Reduce product costs and improve the quality of prototype fabrication.
- Interpret drawings and instruction manuals.
- Work with fittings, piping, and panel wiring.
- Conduct pipe bending and pipe fitting.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical experience (e.g., automotive).
- Electrical experience (e.g., panels and wiring, not circuit boards).
- Experience working with fittings and piping.
- Ability to interpret intricate drawings and instruction manuals.
- Technical Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or chemical discipline.
- 3 years of experience in producing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex and safety-sensitive automated systems.
- Knowledge of electrical codes: NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, NFPA 496, UL 508A.
- Experience with industrial controls, computer, and PLC networks.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with complex variables.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with industrial controls and PLC networks.

Work Environment
This role is fully onsite at a shipping/receiving facility with extensive shop floors. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with hours from 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm. The position reports to the Mechanical Design Engineer.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
