What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electro-Mechanical Technician position at Schneider Electric?
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Mechanical / Electrical Designer
- Onsite with flexible work hours (can start anytime between 6-8AM) potential for 1 day work from home once up to speed
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides design and drafting services for assigned projects from the time it is assigned until the time it is shipped from the factory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Produce required documentation for fabrication purposes by following industry standards and evaluating manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
- Provides design information by answering questions and requests.
- Assists engineering in resolving differences between design and fabrication requirements.
- Maintains Product and company reputation by complying with applicable regulations and standards.
- Expected to work with some assistance from other sources such as engineering, project management, purchasing etc…
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Releases custom engineered projects to manufacturing by generating panel layouts and wire run lists.
- Maintains drawings by issuing Engineering Change Notices.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Entry level to two years’ experience in OEM design activities, including experience in AutoCAD-based drawings or similar.
- Must have panel design experience.

Specific Knowledge:
- Strong spatial recognition skills.
- Word Processing, Spreadsheets and File Management Software.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Bentley Promis.e software tool would be nice to have.
EDUCATION:
- Education: Trade School Diploma, AAS (Associate of Applied Science) or Bachelor of Science in Engineering
