Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design packaging and material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Design packaging and material handling equipment.
- Create shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOMS).
- 2D drafting and 3D design.
- Work on machine design and conveyor systems.
- Detail large systems with precision.
Essential Skills
- 3D modeling using Autodesk software packages
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with 2D drafting and 3D design.
- GPA of 3.5 or higher is strongly preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with machine design.
- Knowledge of conveyor systems.
- Sheet metal engineering.
- Interest or experience in industrial manufacturing or automation & design.
Work Environment
The role will initially be based out of a trailer until the new facility is built. The workplace is rapidly growing and offers ample opportunity for mobility within different business units, as well as upward growth. The facility is brand new and expanding quickly to meet business demands. Training will be provided on all aspects of the job, making it a great place to gain real-world skills. The position starts on a contract basis, with potential for permanent employment and a raise after six months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
