We are looking to add a Sample Coordinator/Specimen Processor to help support a healthcare diagnostic and research laboratory here in area! This is a long-term career opportunity looking for someone who wants to grow with the company long-term.
Description
To ensure all samples are entered, located and tracked by established deadlines and in compliance with SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines; assuring chain of custody for all samples throughout their lifecycle.
Essential Job Duties:
• Sample processing core tasks, which includes delivery receipt, inventory, labelling, storage, disposal, shipping and client communication.
• Prepare samples for testing.
• Use department computer systems to ensure all samples are entered and tracked accurately.
• Review shipping inventory documents against materials received to ensure accuracy and communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Reports and escalates any maintenance or equipment issues relating to their workplace.
• Participates in the maintenance of equipment and equipment records used within the team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED
- Must have at least 1 year of sample management, warehouse, or similar experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
