Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to process quote requests from current and potential customers and ensure timely and accurate responses. In this role, you will analyze customer prints, work instructions, and other information to determine project suitability and meet customer quality requirements. You will ensure that returned quotes include all aspects of the project and production processes to meet customer expectations. Additionally, you will provide project analysis to ensure business fit and proactively plan for complex production needs. Your role will also involve providing troubleshooting and process improvement ideas to support the continuous growth of the department.

Responsibilities

• Process quote requests from current and potential customers and return them on time.
• Analyze customer prints, work instructions, and other information to ensure project suitability and meet customer quality requirements.
• Ensure quotes include all aspects of the project and production processes to meet customer expectations.
• Provide analysis of projects to ensure business fit and proactively plan for complex production needs.
• Offer troubleshooting and process improvement ideas to ensure continuous growth of the department.

Essential Skills

• Prior experience with metal fabrication operations and equipment.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication operations, capabilities, and equipment.
• Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and demonstrate adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, product drawings, and specifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Solid Works and FTP sites preferred.

Work Environment

Estimators will work with a team of three, including a estimator who will be transitioning to part-time and will provide training. The office environment can be busy and include distractions such as side conversations and music, so the ability to focus is essential. Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with the option to work 9 hours Monday to Thursday and leave early on Fridays during the summer. The company offers a flexible, family-oriented atmosphere with a perfect attendance bonus, granting an additional 5 hours of PTO each month for perfect attendance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
