Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for estimating purposes.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive bids.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and project documentation.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation processes within the construction industry.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in cost analysis.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- A background in construction site operations is preferred but not mandatory.
