Job Title: Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimator to process quote requests from current and potential customers. This role involves analyzing customer prints, work instructions, and other provided information to ensure projects align with our capabilities and tooling, while meeting customer quality requirements. The Estimator will ensure quotes include all aspects of the project and production processes to meet customer expectations and provide analysis to ensure business fit. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting and providing process improvement ideas to foster continuous growth within the department.

Responsibilities

• Process quote requests from current and potential customers and return them on time.
• Analyze customer prints, work instructions, and other information to ensure project fit for capabilities and tooling.
• Ensure returned quotes include all aspects of the project and production processes to meet customer expectations.
• Provide analysis of projects to ensure business fit and proactively plan for complex production needs.
• Offer troubleshooting and process improvement ideas for continuous departmental growth.

Essential Skills

• Experience with metal fabrication operations and equipment.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication operations, capabilities, and equipment.
• Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting blueprints, product drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Solid Works.
• Familiarity with FTP sites.

Work Environment

Estimators will work with a team of three, including an experienced estimator who will provide training. The office environment can be lively with side conversations and music, so the ability to focus amidst distractions is important. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. During summer, most employees work nine hours Monday through Thursday and leave early on Fridays. The company offers a perfect attendance bonus, granting an additional five hours of PTO each month for perfect attendance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
