Field Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Supervisor with experience in construction technology and mechanical aptitude. This role requires overseeing a team in the field, diagnosing equipment issues, and ensuring that projects run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have significant management experience and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the team in the field and provide necessary support.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment.
- Ensure that all construction projects are running smoothly.
- Conduct site visits occasionally to monitor progress and address any issues.
- Provide oversight without the need for hands-on work.
Essential Skills
- Degree in construction technology.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and diagnoses.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in handling heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes.
- Strong field management and civil construction skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with project management and estimating.
- Ability to be cross-trained in various field operations.
Work Environment
The role involves working onsite at construction jobs or in the office/shop. The company offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for overtime. As a family-run business with a history spanning eight generations, the company values cross-training and provides potential for growth. The position includes 1 week of PTO and 6 holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
