Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

This individual will be compounding, spray drying, handling reactions, and filling sample requests in the Flavor Lab Department involved with the Coffee division. The ideal candidate will seek to learn and be motivated to advance in the flavor industry with aspirations of becoming a Flavor Chemist.

Responsibilities

• Compound, spray dry, and handle reactions within the Flavor Lab Department.
• Fill sample requests in the Coffee division.
• Mix different ingredients and learn various processes in the flavor lab.
• Comfortably compound and mix different batches for extended durations daily.
• Ensure product quality by applying basic mathematics skills such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and working with formulas and equations.

Essential Skills

• 6 months of laboratory experience required; if from academia, must articulate well.
• Basic mathematics skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and working with formulas and equations.
• Ability to mix different ingredients.
• Motivated to learn different processes in the flavor lab.
• Comfortable with repetitive work nature at times.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• College degree in food science, chemistry, or other science fields preferred.
• Experience in compounding ingredients and preparing samples and batches.

Work Environment

• You will be working in a social and friendly environment with Flavor Lab colleagues.
• The dress code is casual, and the work hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• The role offers an opportunity to learn and grow within the flavor and fragrance industry.
• You will work in the department involved with 60% of FFS revenue generation and gain experience with numerous product lines including coffee, meats, pharma, different beverages, etc.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
