GIS Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a candidate with strong ArcGIS skills, the ability to interpret satellite imagery, and a detail-oriented mindset. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, mapping, and digitizing satellite imagery to support various projects and initiatives. This role requires an understanding of GIS principles, satellite imagery processing, strong computer skills, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret satellite imagery to create accurate and detailed maps.
• Digitize and georeference satellite images to integrate them into GIS databases.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide spatial analysis and mapping support.
• Maintain and update GIS databases with new satellite imagery and related data.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of digitized maps and spatial data.
• Utilize GIS software and tools to perform spatial analysis and generate reports.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in GIS technology and satellite imagery processing.

Skills

• Proficiency in ArcGIS and/or ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience with digitizing and geospatial data management.
• Strong understanding of cartographic principles.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms and tools.
• Knowledge of geography and ESRI software.
• Understanding of geospatial database maintenance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, technical experts, and subcontractors.
• Strong computer skills and data management experience.

Work Environment

• **Training will be On-Site for 2 weeks**
• Office environment with open seating for 80-100 people. The work environment is laid back, allowing for casual dress (jeans and t-shirt), but business casual attire is also acceptable.
• Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with the option to work four 10-hour shifts if preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00
