Job Title: Greenhouse Biologist

Job Description

We are seeking two skilled biologists to join our team and support our greenhouse lab. You will work in a greenhouse environment part of the time and process samples in a lab. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in biology or science, solid experience with Excel, and experience working with plants.

Responsibilities

• Collect high-quality plant material for laboratory analysis from a variety of crop species and environments.
• Process plant material samples in a laboratory setting, effectively communicating with study directors, operations personnel, and others while adhering to approved protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Upload and track information within greenhouse and laboratory systems.
• Communicate experimental results, activity status, and potential concerns effectively and promptly with the team and external stakeholders.
• Optimize and troubleshoot technical issues, identify process improvements, and provide innovative solutions for implementation.

Essential Skills

• Degree in Biology, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field.
• Hands-on experience and knowledge in greenhouse operations and laboratory sample processing.
• Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to develop novel yet practical approaches or solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate in a team and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience working in a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) environment.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chesterfield,MO.
