Job Title: Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting construction drawings and documents for commercial projects and commercial multifamily amenities, including clubhouses, lobbies, game rooms, and more. You will use AutoCAD to produce drawings and work within a team setting, reporting to the Sr. designer. This role requires close collaboration with the design team on the technical coordination of all project phases, handling construction documentation and quality assurance, designing and rendering projects, selecting FF&E, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Draft construction drawings and construction documents for commercial projects and commercial multifamily amenities.
• Use AutoCAD to produce accurate and efficient drawings.
• Work closely with the design team on technical coordination of all project phases.
• Handle construction documentation and quality assurance.
• Design and render commercial multifamily projects.
• Select FF&E.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Prepare, correct, and update documents during schematic design, design development, and construction administration phases.

Essential Skills

• 4-7 years of experience in Interior Design.
• Technical skills in ADA clearance, lighting, flooring, foot-candles, furniture, and fixtures.
• Architectural background in commercial multifamily and hospitality (mainly restaurants).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with commercial multifamily projects is a must.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Architecture experience required; 4 years minimum.
• Interior architecture experience is a plus.
• Commercial architecture experience required, including hospitality, retail, and office interiors.
• Ability to draft and produce construction drawings.
• Experience with Revit is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work in a small office environment in Lambertville. The work schedule includes 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, with the first 90 days fully in the office. Project types include commercial multifamily residential interiors, where you will receive drawings from architects of building exteriors (core and shell) and fill in the rest. The office promotes a hybrid flexible schedule after the initial period, with performance-based bonuses, a match 401k, a great healthcare plan, and team-building activities four times a year. The team consists of a principal owner, Sr. project manager, CAD/design team members, and an office manager who also participates in site visits.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
