Job Title: Pilot Equipment Operator - R&D Laboratory

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Pilot Equipment Operator to join our R&D laboratory team. This role involves setting up and operating pilot equipment, recording and documenting outputs, performing analytical testing, and collaborating with team members to develop products per customer applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive experience in the R&D process, chemical processes, and inorganic analytical testing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate pilot equipment such as evaporators, crystallizers, and boilers.
• Operate simple hoses, pumps, heaters, centrifuges, and other equipment throughout testing processes.
• Record and document outputs from the equipment including pressure, temperature, gauge levels, and chemical data.
• Perform analytical testing such as titrations, spectroscopy, solids composition, crystal characterization, and microscopy.
• Document all laboratory results and work with other team members to develop products per customer application.
• Follow basic laboratory practices while maintaining a safe and clean working lab space.

Essential Skills

• Laboratory experience in any setting and any kind of testing.
• Base understanding of lab processes and equipment.
• Willingness to work the night shift.
• Experience in chemistry, biology, titration, and reverse osmosis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with reverse osmosis, crystallization, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and inorganic chemistry.
• Open to candidates with multiple years of experience, entry-level candidates, and those with lab experience but no degree.
• Chemical operators with medium to high level of experience are also considered.

Work Environment

You will be working in a lab environment with roughly 15 others. This contract position offers the opportunity to gain 2 to 5 years of experience within a year or two, with the potential for pay raises and permanent hire based on performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
