Lead Architect

Responsibilities

• Procure, negotiate contracts, and supervise the work of partnering architectural firms for bidding, permitting, and construction plans.
• Oversee tenant designs, layouts, and drawings for various business tenants in office buildings, retail, restaurants, hotels, and other projects.
• Manage third-party workflow, approval processes, code review, and compliance.
• Recruit and hire design and support staff according to approved budgets and business plans.
• Schedule and manage costs internally and with partnering consultants in design and engineering, and approve payments.
• Perform construction administration, supervise quality assurance, accuracy, and create necessary “punch list” requirements for completion.
• Participate in the overall development and building process from start to finish.
• Act as a “Sales Team Member” to bring new businesses to the enterprise.
• Conduct value engineering and regular critiques.
• Meet with clients, tenants, and ownership to discuss project details.
• Select materials and finishes according to company approval processes.
• Study building systems and recommend major component selections.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit Architecture and AutoCAD.
• Experience in architectural project management, design, drawing, planning, and detailing.
• Strong knowledge of construction administration, schematic design, and conceptual design.
• Registered Architect with NCARB certification or qualification for the same.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and administration.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architecture & Engineering.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.88/hr.
