Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is an integral part of the clinical team, primarily responsible for providing safe, evidence-based care for patients. The role involves exceptional support and the ability to anticipate the needs of both clinicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, document, and communicate patients’ vital statistics and measurements.
• Conduct specimen collection.
• Observe and note any physical or emotional changes in patients.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
• Choose, prepare, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
• Ensure the patient environment is comfortable, organized, safe, and hygienic.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information.
• Prepare patients for follow-up care post-treatment.
• Potentially guide and educate other LPNs.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on nursing-related issues for the section.
• Organize and manage scheduling for patients and necessary medical tests.

Essential Skills

• Proven capability to thrive in dynamic, multi-specialty medical settings and various locations.
• LPN License in the state of Connecticut.
• Attendance & reliability.
• EPIC experience.
• 1-2 years of medical office experience.
• Triage experience.
• Care management skills.
• Patient care expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Work Environment

The LPN will work in a multispecialty office in Guilford, Connecticut. The schedule is from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with the possibility of coming in early or staying later. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week. The work environment emphasizes a collaborative approach, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care before, during, and after each visit.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
