Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is an integral part of the clinical team, primarily responsible for providing safe, evidence-based care to patients. This role requires exceptional support skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of both clinicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage duties.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patients’ vital statistics and measurements.
• Observe and note any physical or emotional changes in patients.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
• Choose, prepare, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
• Ensure the patient environment is comfortable, organized, safe, and hygienic.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information.
• Prepare patients for follow-up care post-treatment.
• Potentially guide and educate other LPNs.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on nursing-related issues.
• Organize and manage scheduling for patients and necessary medical tests.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, multi-specialty medical settings.
• LPN License in the state of Connecticut.
• Attendance and reliability.
• Experience with EPIC.
• 1-2 years of medical office experience.
• Experience in triage, care management, and patient care.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Medical office experience.

Work Environment

The LPN will be working in the transplant unit within the physicians' building. The role involves collaborating closely with a small team and working alongside employees of a renowned health organization. The work schedule is typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime. This role is primarily based in internal medicine and orthopedics.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
