Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Morristown, TN
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or any Engineering field. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical fields, as well as plant equipment, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a plant maintenance strategy consistent with manufacturing initiatives.
- Develop and support a structured Preventive Maintenance (PM) program using SAP PM/EAM.
- Lead the maintenance team, including scheduling and technician staffing levels, performance and accountability, as well as individual and team development needs.
- Handle duties and performance of the plant’s Maintenance Planners.
- Lead obsolescence programs and associated capital projects.
- Define and communicate maintenance-related metrics defined by manufacturing standards.
- Work closely with the storeroom coordinator on parts management and define long-range goals for this area.
- Support development partnerships between maintenance and operations, creating a customer/provider relationship.
- Support GMP, FDA, Calibration, CPM, and EOHS plant initiatives.
- Oversee financial responsibility for the maintenance department, including stores inventory and working capital targets.
- Track and analyze variances associated with the department's material and labor costs.
- Design and monitor an effective and economically justified preventive maintenance program.
- Maintain and analyze equipment data and history records to predict maintenance optimization.
- Ensure employee safety from unsafe equipment conditions and protect equipment from environmental conditions.
- Perform other job functions as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or any Engineering field.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical fields, as well as plant equipment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment.
- Expertise in preventive maintenance and mechanical systems.
- Experience with SAP PM/EAM.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to track and analyze material and labor costs.
- Knowledge of GMP, FDA, Calibration, CPM, and EOHS plant initiatives.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $55.29
