Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in designing sheet metal HVAC accessory systems using AutoCAD and assist in the transition to a new ERP system. The candidate will help create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assist in ERP system rollout to ensure proper integration of data. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess a technical understanding of HVAC systems and sheet metal design.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the transition to a new ERP system by supporting data migration, system configuration, and user training.
- Help create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for various HVAC components, with special attention to accuracy of data.
- Utilize Epicor (or other ERP systems) to enter and manage product catalog data, including parts, BOMs, product descriptions, and operations.
- Design and develop sheet metal HVAC accessory systems using AutoCAD, ensuring that designs are manufacturable and meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, sales, and purchasing, to ensure smooth workflows and data accuracy.
- Track daily ERP roll out progress and prepare updates to ensure project milestones are met.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
- Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Epicor, including BOM management, parts catalogs, and operations entry.
- Strong technical skills and special attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across departments.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with data migration or system implementation efforts related to ERP transitions.
- Experience in HVAC design and accessories such as Curbs, economizers, and power exhausts.
- Knowledge in sheet metal fabrication including understanding function of punches, press breaks, etc.
- Ability to read and understand control schematics related to HVAC systems and other electrical components.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Experience in technical writing and product documentation.
Work Environment
The role involves working in the manufacturing of HVAC equipment. The environment is dynamic, requiring collaboration with various departments to ensure smooth operations. The use of advanced software such as AutoCAD, ERP systems, and the MS Office Suite is integral to daily tasks.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
