Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Associate

Job Description

The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Associate will work in a dynamic production environment at the Thousand Oaks site, supporting development, clinical, and launch activities. Under general supervision, the employee will perform operations in the Manufacturing area according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role will transition between day shift and swing shift; candidates must be flexible.

The starting shift is Wednesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Other shift options include Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and Wednesday-Saturday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on operations, including set-up, cleaning, and sanitization of various manufacturing equipment.
• Prepare buffers and media according to defined manufacturing procedures (MPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Follow GMP documents, SOPs, and MPs with strict adherence to safety and compliance.
• Perform and monitor critical processes, with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
• Conduct in-process sampling of equipment and operate analytical equipment.
• Perform washroom activities, including cleaning small and large-scale equipment used in production activities.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
• Work in a clean room environment, wearing steel toe shoes, full clean room gowning, hairnet, and gloves.
• Initiate quality reports, draft and revise documents such as SOPs and MPs.
• Identify, recommend, and implement improvements related to routine functions.
• Assist in the review of documentation for assigned functions, equipment logs, and batch records.
• Perform activities that include periods of rigorous, repetitive work.
• Work around high-pressure systems and occasionally work around heavy equipment.

Essential Skills

• Ability to follow GMP documents, SOPs, and MPs with strict adherence to safety and compliance.
• Basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform hands-on operations, including set-up, cleaning, and sanitization of various manufacturing equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
