We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with the ability to plan and execute engineering product development initiatives,
generate innovative concepts, and create robust mechanical system designs in a multidisciplinary environment.

- SolidWorks Design Experience: Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D CAD design and FEA software packages.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Experience with sheet metal, machined components, and molded plastics, including standard machining, forming, and molding methods.
- Configuration Management: Expertise in managing engineering change processes, change control boards, drawing formatting/release, part number creation, part revision sequence, and bills of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Product Development: Plan and execute engineering product development initiatives.
- Concept Generation: Generate innovative concepts and robust mechanical system designs.
- Material Handling: Work with sheet metal, machined components, and molded plastics or other soft polymers.
- Manufacturing Methods: Apply knowledge of standard metal and plastic machining, forming, and molding methods.
- Electromechanical Systems: Utilize knowledge of electromechanical actuators and sensors.
- Documentation: Generate prints and reports in accordance with standard quality management systems.
- Material Assessment: Conduct material characterization, selection, and compatibility assessments.
- Configuration Management: Manage all aspects of Configuration Management, including the engineering change process, change control board, drawing formatting/release, part number creation, part revision sequence, and bills of materials.
- Quality Control: Participate in material review board processes, including documentation, control of nonconforming product, assessment, and disposition.
- CAD Design: Perform hands-on 3D CAD design and utilize FEA software packages.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers, teammates, and interdisciplinary internal engineering resources, including Electrical, Biomedical, and Software engineers.
Essential Skills:
- Education: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- SolidWorks Design Experience: Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D CAD design and FEA software packages.
- Engineering Experience: 0 to 1 years of engineering experience.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of tolerance stack-up and manufacturability.
- Material Expertise: Experience with sheet metal, machined components, and molded plastics.
- Electromechanical Systems: Knowledge of electromechanical actuators and sensors.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to generate prints and reports in accordance with standard quality management systems.
- Material Assessment: Experience with material characterization, selection, and compatibility assessment.
- Configuration Management: Experience with engineering change processes and material review board processes.
- Hands-on CAD Design: Proficiency in 3D CAD design and FEA software packages.
- Tooling Experience: Experience with tooling, molding, or fixture design.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $31.25/hr.
