Responsibilities
- Design products for manufacturability using independent research and collaboration.
- Generate product models, concept layouts, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
- Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), develop manufacturing process flows, and enter parts lists and labor requirements into ERP software.
- Support materials sourcing, purchasing, and selection required by the design process.
- Observe all designed projects from the conceptual phase through production to final assembly.
Essential Skills
- Experience with medium metal fabrication (weldments, bending, powder coating, laser cutting).
- Proficiency with Inventor 3D software.
- BOM management experience.
- Experience processing ECN/ECOs.
- Cradle to grave product/project management.
- Experience working for an OEM.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology Management.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- 3D CAD experience, preferably with Autodesk Inventor.
- 5 years of experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with UL and/or DOT regulations.
- Proficiency with Solidworks.
- Experience with ECN and BOM.
- Welding engineering experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr.
