Job Description

As a Mechanical Designer, you will prepare assembly and component drawings for sales orders, inquiries, or new product development using PTC Creo software. You will be responsible for maintaining configurations, generating bills of material, and loading component and assembly data into ERP software. You will also prepare production and submittal packages for internal and external use, perform drawing revisions and modifications, and work with various departments to resolve issues. Additionally, you will assist in training new personnel on CAD functions and department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assembly and component drawings for sales orders, inquiries, or new product development using PTC Creo software.
• Maintain configurations, generate bills of material, and load component and assembly data into ERP software.
• Prepare production and submittal packages for internal and external use, including 2D/3D electronic files, special tagging, and notations, as well as preparing paper copies.
• Perform drawing revisions and modifications, including updating the ERP system.
• Collaborate with assembly, manufacturing, and quality assurance departments to resolve issues.
• Assist in training new personnel on CAD functions and department procedures.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in PTC Creo software.
• Experience in mechanical design and 3D design.
• Two (2) years of job experience in CAD design or product evaluation testing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects concurrently.
• 3D modeling experience, preferably with PTC Creo.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment

You will work on-site five days a week in a machine shop environment. The shop is custom-built, and most products are customized and patented. You could be working on up to 50 projects at once.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25
