Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will spend 60-70% of your time working on SolidWorks design and 30-40% on design reviews, documentation, and reporting. You will collaborate closely with production and manufacturing teams, providing feedback and ensuring design compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Conduct design reviews, documentation, and reporting.
• Provide feedback to production and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure designs comply with industry regulations and codes (e.g., FAA, C Codes, ISO, FDA).
• Perform tolerance analysis and stack-up.
• Design rugged enclosures with consideration for manufacturability.
• Utilize Windchill or other PDM tools.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks for creating 3D drawings.
• Experience with IPX rating.
• Knowledge of rugged enclosure design.
• Familiarity with tolerance analysis and stack-up.
• Experience with design for manufacturability.
• Adherence to industry regulations and codes (e.g., FAA, C Codes, ISO, FDA).
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Verification and validation experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Windchill or other PDM tools.
• Ability to articulate and describe technical concepts of drawings.
• Creative in conceptualizing drawings, not just following directions.
• Experience with gaskets or environmental seals.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00
