Apply now for our entry level medical assistant opportunity with a busy cardiology office in Hartford county! This position is within CT's 2nd largest employer offering room for growth, the ability to experience different specialties, and also the opportunity for permanent hire!
Specialty: Cardiology
Medical Assistant daily role:
- Greeting and rooming patients
- Recording vitals
- Performing EKG's & stress tests as needed
- Update patient history using Epic EMR system
- Assist providers in procedures
- Must be comfortable performing administrative duties including scheduling appointments, performing insurance verifications, & also prior authorizations.
Work environment:
- This role includes both clinical and administrative duties
- Fast paced cardiology office, 25-30 patients per day
- Must be comfortable floating to satellite offices as needed (will be notified in advance)
Schedule & Locations:
- Locations: Traveling between Hartford, Manchester, Farmington locations
- Hours: 4 days a week, 10 hour days from 7AM to 5:30PM. no weekends and 1 day off per week will be decided the week before- 40 hours each sweek
- First 2 weeks of training are 5xx8 schedule
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 1 year of medical assisting experience
- Cardiology experience not required but preferred
- Must be comfortable working with all ages
- Must be comfortable commuting between offices as needed (rare occasion)
- Must have medical assistant diploma
- Must have prior EMR/EHR experience, Epic preferred

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
