Job Title: CDI Specialist I
Department: Arizona Clinical Documentation Integrity
Job Category: Remote-Clinical
Duties:
- Review patient medical records to ensure accurate documentation and coding.
- Work with doctors and other healthcare staff to improve documentation quality.
- Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
- This is a 100% remote position, work from anywhere in the U.S.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience in trauma or transplants, 3 years in CDI, and experience in large facilities.
- Familiarity with 3M360, Optum, and Epic is a plus.
- Certifications like CCS, CRC, CDIP, or CCDS are highly desirable.
- Experience in DRG validation or auditing is a plus.
Skills:
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
Education and Certifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Relevant certifications (RHIT, RHIA, RN, RRT, CCS, CCS-P, or medical degree).
- CDIP or CCDS certification required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $55.00/hr.
