Job Title: Pharmacist
Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
- Direct pharmacy workers in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
- Provide information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
- Maintain procedures for quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
- Enter data to maintain pharmacy files, charge systems, and inventory.
- Assay medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
- Instruct interns and other medical personnel on pharmacy-related matters.
Essential Skills
- Licensed Pharmacist in IL.
- Experience in retail pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc.).
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivating attitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with prior authorization and mail order pharmacies.
- Comfortable being on feet all day.
- Ability to push carts up to 30lbs.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts, in increments of 8.5 hours including a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime is not required but may be offered based on business needs. The role involves working in a distribution area.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
