Job Title: Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
• Direct pharmacy workers in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
• Provide information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Maintain procedures for quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
• Enter data to maintain pharmacy files, charge systems, and inventory.
• Assay medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
• Instruct interns and other medical personnel on pharmacy-related matters.

Essential Skills

• Licensed Pharmacist in IL.
• Experience in retail pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc.).
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivating attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with prior authorization and mail order pharmacies.
• Comfortable being on feet all day.
• Ability to push carts up to 30lbs.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts, in increments of 8.5 hours including a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime is not required but may be offered based on business needs. The role involves working in a distribution area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
