Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Long-Term Care Pharmacist for a temporary position in a closed-door shipping pharmacy. This role involves final review and validation of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance before they are sent out. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist looking to supplement their income with additional shifts.

Responsibilities

• Validate that the prescribed medications match what is being sent out.
• Assist the pharmacy manager with scheduling and creating schedules.
• Support pharmacy projects as needed.

Essential Skills

• Final Approval
• Long-term care experience
• Pharmacist License in good standing with the State Board of Florida
• Prior authorization
• Data entry
• At least 2-3 years of experience in retail, hospital, or long-term care pharmacies

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Pharmaceutical knowledge
• Pharmacy management
• PharmD degree

Work Environment

This is a closed-door, long-term care shipping pharmacy with no interaction with the public or cash handling. The team comprises pharmacy professionals who fill prescriptions for delivery across the tri-county area. Flexibility for shift coverage is crucial. The temporary position lasts for 12 weeks, with shifts from 9am-6pm (sometimes 11am-7:30pm), at least 4 days a week, and occasional weekend coverage once fully trained.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $57.00
