Overview:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the Paxit automated Packaging and Dispensing equipment
The fulfillment of Bulk Prescriptions and the Staging of all finished items for shipment to our customers
This position will also function with and assist any other area in the facility as needed with regards to pharmacy operations.
Four areas of the floor:
1) PAXIT automated machine which is basically loading bulk empty medication packs to be rapid filled
2) Smaller automated fill line for more specialized but still bulk prescriptions
3) Manual compounding area for specialty prescriptions
4) Stock area for general medical products - topicals, bandages etc.
Every night at 11pm the individual bins are moved to a staging area for the currier to take them to the assisted living facilities. Bins are not heavy but they will be assisting in this process and have dolly's to use if needed.
On their feet majority of the shift but overall pace is moderate and they can always ask for help.
M-F with rotating weekends:
One first shift need: 8am - 4:30pm
One second shift need 4pm - 12:30am

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Current National/State Pharmacy Certification is required - Michigan License at the very least (will accept a temporary license as well)
Basic computer knowledge skills required, must have basic understanding of medical terminology, math and analytical skills.
Nice to have:
Experience in a retail or long term care pharmacy
Best vs Average - Someone who doesn't mind mundane tasks and following instructions
Metrics - Once up and running (1-2 weeks of training) they will be given production metrics to adhere to
Disqualifier: Not Licensed in Michigan
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
