Hiring for Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will primarily be responsible for filling prescription vials with pills, capsules, and some liquids. You will use a computer to read prescription requirements, scan vials and labels, replenish automated fill machines with drugs, and process shipping orders. This role does not involve any phone calls or phone-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Meet line quotas, with quicker lines at 365 vials per hour and others at 100-150 per hour

Essential Skills

• Pharmacy Technician license
• Experience in pharmacy or retail pharmacy
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hour shifts

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Indiana Pharm Tech License (open to someone in training)

Work Environment

You will be working in a highly automated, non-customer-facing facility. Two shifts are available:

1st Shift: Monday 9:00am-7:30pm, Tuesday - Friday 10am-7:30pm, Saturday 11:00am-8:30pm.

2nd Shift: Monday 1pm-11:30pm, Tuesday - Friday 2pm-11pm, Saturday 11am-8:30pm. Each week you work a Saturday, you will have a rotating weekday off. Mondays are the busiest days, which usually require a 10.5-hour shift, while every other day is about 8.5 hours with a 30-minute lunch. The environment is climate-controlled, with a casual dress code, and you are allowed to listen to headphones during your shift. It is a fast-paced, automated fill pharmacy environment. You will receive two 15-minute paid breaks, and overtime is rarely denied if desired. Once you become a permanent employee, you will receive 40 hours of emergency PTO (flex), 88 hours of PTO (must be scheduled and approved), and 5 floating holidays. Hiring

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.95 - $18.95/hr.
