Job Title: Planner Scheduler

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planner Scheduler to manage and coordinate all aspects of project scheduling within a government work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project scheduling software and experience in government contracting, particularly within the Department of Defense, manufacturing, aerospace, or Navy industries. This role requires someone who can handle a heavy workload independently and maintain efficiency under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and estimate project timelines and resources.
• Develop and manage detailed schedules for government contracts, ensuring all tasks are accounted for.
• Utilize Microsoft Project and Primavera version 6 for scheduling.
• Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and references.
• Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to schedules.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for project status updates.
• Work efficiently during peak times, including potential weekend work.

Essential Skills

• Experience in planning, scheduling, and estimating within a DoD or government contract environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera version 6.
• Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of supply chain, shipyard operations, and project scheduling methodologies.
• Knowledge of Navy ship operations, maintenance, and repair.
• Effective writing and editing skills.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required due to ITAR regulations.
• Ability to acquire a DBIDS credential.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PC proficiency, including word processing, data management, and graphics skills.
• Experience in the shipyard industry is a plus.

Work Environment

Working hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, in a bay front location. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring flexibility and the ability to work with a variety of personalities. The role involves both office work and occasional visits to the shipyard.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $140000.00
