Job Title: Process Improvement Engineer

Job Description

Identify opportunities and complete projects to make process improvements, gain efficiency, reduce waste, and reduce costs. Implement engineering controls and projects to support completion of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement activities and Kaizen events.
• Teach, lead, and coach cross-functional teams on various Continuous Improvement tools, including but not limited to: 6S, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Changeover Reduction, etc.
• Communicate program progress and pitfalls to management and team leaders on a regular basis.
• Provide teams and members visibility, recognition, and acknowledgment for progress and accomplishments.
• Work with teams to actively promote Continuous Improvement throughout the organization.
• Be the outspoken catalyst for Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain regular attendance as per handbook policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Tooling skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Lean certification
• Additional relevant qualifications in process improvement or engineering

Work Environment

The work environment includes working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting. The role involves regular communication with management and team leaders. Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies are a significant part of the daily tasks. Regular attendance is required as per company policy. The environment promotes visibility and recognition for progress and accomplishments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $45.00/hr.
