Job Title: Project Scheduler

Job Description

Actalent is seeking a dedicated Project Scheduler/Coordinator with experience in building and maintaining project schedules, considering operational constraints such as shutdowns and required downtimes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of project activity relationships and will support the Project Manager in creating an execution schedule based on the project's needs and the timeline identified during the development phase. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, this role requires the individual to be a subject matter expert from day one, scheduling large projects and implementing programs to monitor and report progress toward project success.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate with internal Project Managers and leaders on efficiency and timelines.
• Develop processes to sustain scheduling and timelines.
• Attend meetings with leadership to present data on project successes and pitfalls.

Essential Skills

• Experience with Primavera P6.
• Proficiency in following Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Knowledge of AACEPSP (Project Planner).
• Proficiency in MS Projects and MS Excel.
• Strong project scheduling and project management skills.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

Work Environment

The role is primarily office-based with occasional site walks. The work environment is dynamic, with a diverse workload extending over the next 4-5 years, providing job stability and opportunities for professional growth. The company offers a supportive environment with experienced colleagues and is currently upgrading equipment while continuing to meet customer demands. The company also provides paid holidays, including Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $67.00/hr.
