Job Title: Project Specialist - Engineering

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will apply formal project management methodologies to ensure the professional execution of projects on schedule and within budget while effectively managing exceptions and escalations that may occur. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a dynamic company operating in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
• Create and manage project scope statements and work packages.
• Handle formal contract and change order communications.
• Prepare resource plans and cost estimates.
• Maintain risk and issues logs.
• Provide status and exception reporting.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and manage hardware and electromechanical device projects.
• Utilize project scheduling and cost estimating software effectively.
• Manage resource allocation and ensure efficient resource management.

Essential Skills

• 4 years of experience in systems project management or systems management.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or computer science, or an equivalent combination of technical education, certifications, and experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Experience with project scheduling and cost estimating software
• Knowledge of resource management and allocation techniques

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment preferred
• Working knowledge of SAP (System Applications and Products)
• ASQC Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certification preferred

Work Environment

The position operates within a hybrid work model, offering a blend of remote and in-office work. The company provides a supportive and growth-oriented environment with 2 weeks of paid time off and 6 paid holidays. The role involves close coordination with engineering teams and may require occasional travel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00
