Job Title: Project Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a Project Estimator with over 5 years of experience as a commercial estimator. The Project Estimator will collaborate closely with the owner, design team, and project management team. The role involves analyzing drawings, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects. The estimator will compute costs for materials purchased, leased equipment, subcontracted work, production activities, requirements, and labor. This is a full-time, salaried position.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents.
• Prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
• Compute costs for materials purchased, leased equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Evaluate production activities and requirements.
• Collaborate with the owner, design team, and project management team.
• Prepare budgets, estimates, and schedules.
• Perform value management.
• Develop procurement strategies.
• Solicit trade partner proposals.
• Prepare final contract estimates.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in commercial construction as an estimator.
• Proficient in Sage and on-screen takeoffs.
• Expertise in construction estimation, project management, bidding, and preconstruction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with estimating software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in budgets, estimates, and schedules.
• Experience in performing value management.
• Ability to develop procurement strategies.
• Experience in soliciting trade partner proposals.
• Ability to prepare final contract estimates.

Work Environment

The work environment is a typical office setting, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role will be performed primarily in-office. The company offers great pay and benefits, and a company vehicle may be provided depending on the role being hired for.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00
