Job Title: Project Manager/Estimator

Job Description

Join a general contracting company specializing in commercial, excavating, and utility projects. We are seeking a full-time Project Manager/Estimator with experience in water, sewer, storm, and earthwork estimating. The ideal candidate should have experience in general management of several projects as well as estimating. This role is perfect for someone with PM experience or someone interested in growing into a PM/Estimator position.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Create estimates and proposals for water, sewer, storm, and earthwork projects.
• Handle project management tasks including submittals, RFIs, schedules, shop drawing requests, change orders, correspondence, and project closeout.
• Attend on-site meetings and job walks.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Prioritize and multi-task effectively.
• Utilize estimating software B2W and ground rules.
• Operate Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher).
• Support commercial and industrial projects with accurate estimations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in civil estimating for water, sewer, storm, and earthwork.
• Proficient in estimating software B2W and ground rules.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher).
• Ability to create detailed estimates and proposals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction management.
• Knowledge of preconstruction, pricing, and cost estimation.
• Experience with document sharing programs such as Dropbox.

Work Environment

You will be part of a tight-knit, veteran-owned company with a strong culture of respect and equal treatment. The team consists of about 26 people, including one other estimator. The company values high expectations and a strong work ethic. You will work in the office five days a week, typically 50-60 hours per week. The company provides full benefits, a company credit card, and a gas card. After the first year, you will receive one week of PTO, increasing to two weeks after the second year. The company also offers holiday pay for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. The team enjoys a friendly culture, often socializing outside of work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

3 holidays paid
1 week PTO after first year, 2 weeks after 2nd year, etc.
