Job Title: QC Chemist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated QC Chemist to perform routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, final products, and stability samples for product release. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and efficient testing, utilizing various analytical techniques to maintain product quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, final products, and stability samples for product release by following established testing procedures.
- Utilize various analytical testing techniques such as Gas Chromatography (GC), UV-Visible spectroscopy, titrations, and other relevant methods.
- Perform required performance verifications (PV’s) on all applicable instrumentation.
- Ensure laboratory equipment and instrumentation are properly calibrated, maintained, and operated in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all analytical testing processes and outcomes. Prepare and review data to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist in developing and writing departmental procedures, work instructions, test methods, and SOPs.
- Investigate and troubleshoot analytical testing issues, collaborating with team members to identify root causes and propose solutions or corrective actions.
- Uphold a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines.
- Participate in company safety and other training programs.
- Maintain effective communication within and across functions within the organization.
- Develop basic competency in ERP system.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields.
- 0 to 2 years of QC/analytical lab experience.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques such as GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, HPLC, and titrations.
- Solid foundation in analytical chemistry.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and protocol adherence.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with additional analytical techniques and instruments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills.
Work Environment
The work environment is a well-equipped QC/Analytical Laboratory adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines. The role includes working with advanced analytical instruments and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as lab coats, goggles, and gloves are required. The position follows a Monday to Friday shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with potential for overtime and weekend work.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $56000.00/yr.
