Lab Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn basic wet chemistry and bench techniques while working in a fragrance laboratory environment. You will work alongside chemical operators and fragrance scientists to test incoming products, in-process samples, and final samples before they are sent out to customers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical property testing, specific gravity testing, and pH testing.
- Compound and create individual fragrances.
- Restock and refill the lab with necessary supplies.
- Document and pull items from the floor as needed.
- Work independently while collaborating with peers to ensure timely product shipment.
- Compound and test 12-20 formulas per day.
Essential Skills
- Degree in a science-related field (Bachelor's or Associate's degree).
- Lab experience (school experience is acceptable).
- Experience in Chemistry, Laboratory, Quality Control, pH testing, and physical testing.
- Experience working while attending school.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced environment such as restaurant, fast food, or customer service.
- High level of autonomy and reliability.
- Willingness to learn new things and retain information.
- Comfortable with a contract that could be extended.
- No allergies or sensitivities to fragrances.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
