Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality Control Chemist to join our team. The role involves performing a range of analytical tests and ensuring compliance with quality control processes. Responsibilities
- Perform testing of raw materials, intermediates, and final products using analytical methods such as Cell based bioassays, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, and qPCR assays.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is in optimal working condition through regular calibration and maintenance.
- Assist in monitoring and trending data, review routine test data, and related documents for in-process testing, drug substance, and drug product release.
- Support the generation of Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) for product release.
- Author or revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), qualification/validation protocols, and reports.
- Assist with laboratory investigations regarding out of specification (OOS) results and participate in root cause analysis for deviations related to analytical procedures.
- Provide updates at daily and weekly meetings.
- Monitor GMP systems to ensure compliance with documented policies and review proposed changes to systems, procedures, methods, and regulatory submissions.
- Gather metric information for continuous improvement in areas of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- AA Degree with 2 years of experience in biotechnology or related field and Quality Control experience.
- High School Degree with 3 years of experience in biotechnology or related field and Quality Control experience.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and quality control processes.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate and work independently with scientific/technical personnel.
- Well-versed in various analytical techniques such as Flow Cytometry, ELISAs, PCR, and cell bioassays.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience identifying, writing, evaluating, and closing OOS’s and investigations.
- Working knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (21 CFR Part 11/210/211).
- Preferred experience in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.50/hr.
