Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Description

The QC technician is a key component to ensuring compliance with GMP/SQF standards. The technician will be responsible for routine and non-routine viscosity testing, environmental testing, pre-op checklists, equipment verification and validation, corrective actions, holding non-conforming materials, and control of raw materials. Additionally, the technician will maintain the lab, follow good lab practices, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine viscosity testing
• Perform environmental testing and pre-op checklists
• Verify and validate equipment
• Implement corrective actions for non-conforming materials
• Control raw materials

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience in a GMP regulated environment as a quality assurance technician
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to frequently stand and walk through a manufacturing environment
• Basic math skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with ph meters, titration, viscosity, FDA regulations, laboratory practices, and food manufacturing
• Knowledge of SQF standards

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance, quality control, and laboratory settings

Work Environment

60% of the work is lab-based and 40% is on the manufacturing floor. The position is on the 1st shift, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursday. Occasionally, there will be 4-hour shifts on Fridays and Saturdays. The team is small and tight-knit, with 2-3 members on shift at a time. The role offers opportunities for upward movement within the company, close collaboration with the R&D team, and exposure to new clients and products.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
