Quality Control Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taste testing applications that include allergens and alcoholic beverages. Candidates must be at or over the legal drinking age.

Education and Experience:

·      Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.

·      1-2 years of experience in flavor applications or food product development is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Work independently and manage multiple projects, both short-term and ongoing, with strict deadlines.

·      Prepare and produce bench-top and pilot lab prototypes for Sweet Goods and Beverage applications.

·      Create a variety of Sweet Goods and Beverage prototypes throughout the evaluation process.

·      Conduct collection evaluations.

·      Maintain current application formulations, raw materials, and quality specifications using current computer systems.

·      Apply flavors and evaluate them in various Sweet Goods and Beverage products.

·      Maintain and apply good laboratory practices.

Skills and Competencies:

·      Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.

·      Proficient in mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions for practical situations.

·      Knowledge of commercial food and beverage processing, sensory testing, and the use of functional ingredients is a plus.

·      Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

·      Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

·      Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
