Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

This position will be a customer-facing Quality Engineer. The role involves daily checks of customer complaints and responding with appropriate actions such as issuing quality alerts and starting containment or sorts. The Quality Engineer will conduct daily Gemba (go and see) to perform root cause analysis for potential quality issues and will also provide reporting and presentations to customers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily Gemba (go and see) to conduct root cause analysis for potential quality issues.
• Provide regular reporting and presentations to customers.

Essential Skills

• Quality engineering
• PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
• Root cause analysis (including 8D and 5 Why methodologies)
• Automotive manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP
• 2 years in a Quality Engineer role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including creating PowerPoint presentations and utilizing Excel pivot tables)
• Ability to read part drawings and knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Knowledge of PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
• Experience with failure mode and risk analysis
• Knowledge of the 18 elements of PPAP

Work Environment

The facility is clean, well-lit, and well-kept. The position requires a 50/50 split between floor and desk work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Russell Springs,KY.
